Sean Davis has pledged to help pull Portsmouth out of relegation trouble despite being out of contract at Fratton Park in three months' time.
Former Fulham and Tottenham midfielder Davis, 29, is joined by skipper Sol Campbell, defenders Hermann Hreidarsson and Noe Pamarot plus FA Cup-winning striker Kanu in not knowing what his future holds beyond the end of the season.
He said: "I was left out of the cup final squad last year and then Celtic came in for me in the summer. I heard the club had accepted a £3million bid and it seemed they were trying to get rid of me then, but I didn't want to leave the Premier League - or Portsmouth - and nothing more developed on that."
He added: "I got back into the side and when I heard they had turned down a £3million offer from Bolton in the January window I thought they would soon be knocking on my door offering me a new contract but there have been no more talks and nothing is signed.
"I guess now everything is going to get sorted out in the summer but I want to stay here no matter what division we are in. And my main focus now is trying to help keep Pompey up."
Davis revealed that former Pompey boss Tony Adams had opened preliminary negotiations with him.
He said:Â "I had a lot of time for Tony and he said he liked my attitude. He wanted to offer me a new contract but we hadn't agreed anything and now that he's gone it feels like I am back at square one.
"It's been the same for about 15 months and I'm still a bit upset that nothing has been sorted out but, hopefully, I will keep my form and help us stay up.
"The people who have taken over from Tony (caretaker manager Paul Hart and his assistant Brian Kidd) are both great football men and I think we have enough there to get out of trouble."
