Dinamo Moscow refuse to give up on signing Liverpool midfielder Yossi Benayoun despite Liverpool denying the player is for sale.
The Israeli international has struggled to hold down a first-team spot for Liverpool this season as Benitez continues to rotate his starting line-up.
Media reports in Russia has stated that the 29 year-old would follow teammate Andriy Voronin to Dinamo Moscow, however, a Liverpool spokeman was quick to deny the sale saying: "The player is not for sale, it's as simple as that."
The clubs sporting director, Konstantin Sarsania, still believes the Russian side can persuade Liverpool to part with their creative midfielder.
Sarsania said: "The negotiation process continues. Liverpool have not ruled out the transfer. We are still in touch with Benayoun’s agent and we still believe the transfer can happen."
Benayoun has played over 80 games for Liverpool scoring 17 goals but could be soon heading for the exit door at Anfield if Dinamo get their way. Remember time is running out for your to vote for your PFA Fans' Player of the Month for Janaury: VOTE NOW
