Harry Redknapp's magic touch continued as Tottenham recorded a 4-2 victory over Liverpool at White Hart Lane to secure their place in the quarter-finals of the Carling Cup.
Roman Pavlyuchenko and Fraizer Campbell scored two goals each for the holders, who won the trophy in February under former boss Juande Ramos.
Damien Plessis and Sami Hyypia scored for Liverpool before Spurs goalkeeper Heurelho Gomes was carried off with a head injury with 20 minutes remaining.
