Former Manchester United director Greg Dyke believes a possible takeover by Malcolm Glazer could jeopardise the club´s long-term financial success.Glazer, the American tycoon, is expected to make an £800million formal bid to take control of the club, with vast sums understood to be borrowed to fund the deal. Dyke believes this puts the Old Trafford outfit at risk as the club would need Champions League qualification to pay the interest on the loan.According to Dyke this could lead to United being in the same position as Leeds, who borrowed against future success and had to sell assets when targets were not met. Dyke told BBC Radio 5 Live: "If they (the proposals) contain a very large amount of debt it could endanger the whole future of Manchester United as a football club."
