I am sure everyone in football is delighted to see Arsenal striker Eduardo back in business after his horrendous injury.

The Croatian international is not quite firing on all cylinders yet, and he’s keen to add goals to his assists and his tireless efforts.

"My form is quite good and I know that goals will come," the 26-year-old told Sportske Novosti.
"Against Tottenham I missed two great chances but no worries - I'm feeling great, I don't have any problems. Of course, I'm hungry for goals, just like Arsenal are hungry for trophies."

Eduardo’s style of play suits Arsene Wenger’s ‘total football’ philosophy, and the player is delighted with the progress the Gunners have made this season.

"I am happy because we are playing very good football," he said. "We are attractive and also efficient, we are scoring a lot of goals and the fans are happy. Everything is in place and our ambitions are growing stronger and stronger.

"We all believe so much that we will fight for top spot in the Premier League and also in Europe until the very end. Confidence is sky high which of course is not surprising, as our results are really very good.”

Blaise Matuidi

Meanwhile, Arsenal target Blaise Matuidi has spoken openly about his future at Ligue 1 side St Etienne and once again played down the speculation linking him with a move to north London.

The combative midfielder, who has been capped by France at Under 21 level, signed a new deal with his French club in October and has vowed to see out his contract.

“Today I am happy to be at St Etienne, " he told Le Quotidien du Foot. "I didn't want to leave ASSE for the sake of it in the summer. St Etienne remains a great club. Moreover it is a real honour to wear the armband.

"Arsenal? Of course I won't hide it is a challenge that attracted me. Arsenal is a very big club. But today I am at St Etienne and the aim is to achieve a great season here.

"We will see what will happen in the future, we will think about Arsenal again at the right time. I will probably prolong. I have to meet the chairman soon to talk about the future, but I am not alone to make such a decision."
