Newcastle defender Jose Enrique has vowed to stick it out at St James' Park even though it seems Joe Kinnear plans to sell him in the January transfer window.
Enrique was cited as a long-term solution to Newcastle's defensive problems when he was signed by then boss Sam Allardyce for £6.3million last August.
However, the Spain Under 21 left back has made only six starts for the club this term, and reports have surfaced claiming he could be traded in during the January transfer window but Enrique insists that isn't going to happen.
Enrique told Spanish newspaper Marca: "I want to complete my contract. It doesn't bother me if they want to get rid of me. I have still got a few years left and I want to play an important part in getting the team back to where it deserves to be."
New club
Meanwhile, Stephen Appiah is still searching for a new club after parting company with Fenerbahce back in August.
The Ghana captain has been linked with a number of teams from across Europe - but he is still to finalise a move.
Appiah is currently training with one of his former clubs Brescia as he looks to maintain some fitness. The midfielder also played for Ghana on Wednesday evening in a friendly against Tunisia - when a host of clubs, including West Ham, Middlesbrough and Newcastle, checked on him.
"I am training with Brescia at the moment," he said. "I am happy with my form but I need to get the match fitness, apart from that I am fine. I would like to thank my national coach for giving me the chance to play the game against Tunisia. I heard there will be scouts from Germany and England, I need a football club and very soon I will sign, very soon."
