Arsenal captain Cesc Fabregas made his latest return from injury as a second half substitute in Saturday's goalless draw with Blackburn, as he continues his rehabilitation from an ongoing hamstring problem.
A disappointing performance, and result for Arsene Wenger's side, was almost compounded when Fabregas was involved in a minor car incident on his way to training yesterday morning.
Thankfully the majestic midfielder came away unscathed, after posting on his twitter account, "I'm absolutely fine, nothing to worry about, these things happen."
After joining up with the rest of the squad for training in North London, Fabregas spoke of the importance of not rushing back from this type of injury, but vowed to make a full return as soon as the time is right.
"It's not normal this keeps happening so we have to find a solution. It's hard to explain.
"I feel fine in training and before the games and then all of a sudden it happens.
"We have to try all the options, keep looking at the treatment. Plenty of people want to help so we have to work out what's best," he said.
With Arsenal's title-challenge hanging by a thread, the return of their instrumental captain cannot come soon enough, with Sunday’s trip to Blackpool targeted by Wenger as the key to a return to form.
"We have to come back with something better than that. You could see that mentally the focus was not good enough on Saturday," he said.
