Bolton manager Sam Allardyce has confirmed he wants Khalilou Fadiga to remain at the Reebok Stadium.

The 30-year-old Senegal midfielder´s progress ground to a halt last October when he needed a heart operation and he has yet to start a league match but Allardyce is convinced Fadiga´s best days are yet to come.

"Khali has an option in his contract that we have offered to take up, " said the Bolton boss. "With a good pre-season and no more worries about that type of situation he should flourish in the next campaign."
