Sir Alex Ferguson does not want "to make a monster" out of Rio Ferdinand´s contract saga, but maintains the matter must be resolved sooner rather than later.The Manchester United boss has maintained the club will not be ´messed about´ by the £29million England international over his £100,000-a-week contract extension.Ferguson said: "If he´s not sure then he should take time - but that most important thing is we want him to do it quickly."
