Wigan boss Paul Jewell hailed matchwinner Caleb Folan as one of the least riskiest buys of his managerial career after the striker sealed a priceless 1-0 win at Manchester City.Folan had already made his mark on the Blues once this season, scoring in Chesterfield´s shock Carling Cup triumph. That effort helped to persuade Jewell to spend £500,000 on the 24-year-old during the transfer window."Caleb had virtually paid his transfer fee back already," said Jewell. "If we do manage to survive, that £500,000 will look like a bargain."
