Blackburn manager Mark Hughes insists he retains the utmost respect for the FA Cup, despite resting several key players in his side´s stunning 4-1 third-round win at Everton.Hughes surprisingly named Robbie Savage, Brett Emerton and top-scorer Benni McCarthy on the bench at Goodison Park - and gave starting roles to young fringe players James McEveley, Matt Derbyshire and Paul Gallagher.Hughes, who lifted the FA Cup four times as a player, said: "My take on it is that we should pay the competition the right amount of respect. But this was an opportunity for us to rest key players - such as Benni McCarthy, Brett Emerton and Robbie Savage."
