Manchester United's superstar winger Cristiano Ronaldo says he is angered by the continued speculation regarding his future.
The 23-year-old Portuguese international has scored a remarkable 38 goals this season and is constantly linked with the leading clubs on the continent.
However, Ronaldo insists is has no plans to quit English football. "I just don't care what the whole world seems to want to say about me or speculate about my future. I've said it a thousand times by now and people should realise I'm totally happy at United," he said.
"I'm in the form of my life and having the season of my career so far so it makes me mad sometimes to read some things which are supposed to be related to my future. I get angry but I'm trying to accept it is a waste of energy to be furious because it just isn't worth it."
Meanwhile, Sir Alex Ferguson insists the title race is by no means over despite his side enjoying a five-point lead with just four matches of the campaign remaining.
"Wigan holding Chelsea put us in a good position but in my experience in life you don't take anything for granted. We've got some difficult games ahead – Blackburn, West Ham, Chelsea and Wigan. We have three away games and one at home, so we have to do a job," said Ferguson.
"Because we have difficult games left, there is still a lot to play for and it could still go down to the wire. We could lose to Chelsea and we could lose all our remaining games. It is a very difficult league these days.
"But one of the encouraging things is that our goal difference is helping us. That's deserved because weve attacked all season and put an attacking emphasis on our game. Cristiano Ronaldo, Wayne Rooney and Carlos Tevez have scored over 70 goals between them – thats a great return from three players."
Turning to United's closest rivals Chelsea, Real Madrid are reported to be stepping up their bid to sign striker Didier Drogba.
The 30-year-old Ivory Coast international said earlier this season that he expects to quit Stamford Bridge in the summer, with Real and the two Milan clubs at the head of the queue.
Madrid sporting director Predrag Mijatovic has already been over to London to watch Drogba in action last month and is returning for a second time hoping to initiate talks with the player.
Real want to move quickly to sign Drogba, with Ruud van Nistelrooy only just back in action after ankle surgery, while fellow frontmen Javier Saviola and Roberto Soldado set to leave.
Finally, Portsmouth's tough-tackling midfielder Sean Davis has been told he can push ahead with his plans to secure an FA Cup final place without the fear of suspension.
The 28-year-old was one yellow card away from a ban after picking up nine cautions this season but in accordance with the Premier League disciplinary guidelines, he will now escape punishment if he is booked again.
Davis said: "I've been in a difficult position over the last few weeks. I had been on nine for a while so it was a case of hoping that I could escape another. Thankfully though, it's no longer a concern for me."
