Reports coming out of the United States indicate Liverpool owner Tom Hicks is listening to offers for the Texas Rangers.The Major League Baseball team is co-owned by Hicks and he could get a fee in the region of US$600 million for the franchise.The American businessman had previously been considering trying hang onto the MLB side after much publicised financial difficulties insisting:“There is a way {to keep the team], and I’m working on that. So we’ll see.”It appears now though, Hicks is prepared to sell. Sports Business Journal have reported that the Texas Rangers have received letters from six interested parties. Liverpool, fellow American George Gillett, have come in for some heavy criticism from Liverpool fans. They are frustrated at the perceived debt they have put the club in, and lack of transfer funds.
