Wolves limbered up for the Premier League season with a 1-0 win over Perth Glory at Members Equity Stadium.

Sylvan Ebanks-Blake scored the only goal of the match in the second minute as the sides produced a tight contest where shots on target were at a premium. Chris Iwelumo flicked on a throw from George Elokobi to the lurking Ebanks-Blake, who took two attempts to slip it over the line in a goalmouth scramble.

However, Wolves may have paid a great price for the win as Scottish striker Iwelumo was forced off early in the first half with what appeared to be a foot injury following a tangle of legs with new Glory signing Jacob Burns, formerly of Leeds.

Wolves' record signing Kevin Doyle played the second half, but was a largely peripheral figure as fellow striker Andy Keogh proved the most dangerous player on the park, with two attempts that came within inches of scoring.
