Liverpool are reportedly on the verge of signing long time target Milan Jovanovic.
The Standard Liege striker had reportedly signed at Anfield last week, but the player's agent revealed that a deal had not yet been agreed between the player and Liverpool.

A Serbian international after making his debut in 2007, Jovanovic has proved himself at the top level with 10 goals in 23 appearances for the national team. Top goalscorer for the White Eagles in World Cup qualifying group seven, Jovanovic led his country to the top of the group ahead of France.
The striker started his career at FK Vojvodina in his homeland before making the switch to Ukranian side Shakhtar Donetsk in 2003. After a troubled season, a move to Lokomotiv Moscow followed.
Two more disappointing seasons led to Jovanovic making the switch to Les Rouches in 2006, and it is in the Belgian first division that the forward has shined.
Failure to agree a new contract with Liege has led to a handful of teams chasing his signature, with Valencia, Birmingham City and Juventus all linked with a move for the striker.It is Liverpool who made their move first though, and Rafael Benitez is expected to announce that a deal has been agreed for the front man in the coming days. "Nothing is sorted yet, but I'm confident it will be," said Benitez after the Everton game at the weekend.
