Mark Viduka was undergoing a medical on Thursday morning as Newcastle homed in on another major target.The 31-year-old striker met club officials for discussions before undergoing the necessary checks with the Magpies hopeful of clinching his signature within hours.Viduka has rejected the offer of an extended contract at Middlesbrough and is now expected to take up the challenge of leading the line at St James´ Park, perhaps alongside record signing Michael Owen.
