Russell Martin believes Norwich's victory against QPR can act as catalyst in their tough-looking upcoming fixtures.

The Canaries defender captained the side to an impressive 2-1 defeat of their fellow promoted side at Carrow Road. Martin broke the deadlock after 14 minutes when reacting quickest during a melee in the six-yard box, before Luke Young struck a second half equaliser.

Norwich secured victory when substitute Grant Holt nodded home and Martin praised the attitude and aptitude shown by his team-mates. He told Press Association Sport: "We said this week it was a big one on the back of two defeats and against someone we expect us to be around as well."
