Gavin McCann is poised to join Bolton from Aston Villa.

The 29-year-old midfielder is currently undergoing a medical at the Reebok Stadium and is expected to move for a fee of around £1million plus add-ons.

Villa boss Martin O´Neill had indicated towards the end of last season that McCann would be offered a new contract.
