Sunderland defender John Mensah is out of Sunday's Barclays Premier League trip to Fulham after suffering a recurrence of his calf problem.
The central defender, who missed several games earlier in the season with the same problem, is becoming an increasing concern for manager Steve Bruce.
He said: "John Mensah hurt his calf in training and I can't see him being fit.It's a concern, it's a huge concern."
