Forgotten man Chris Riggott returned to Middlesbrough to help ease Gareth Southgate´s side over the finishing line with a 2-0 win over Portsmouth.Riggott´s 40th-minute header a day after he was recalled from his loan spell at Stoke, put Boro on the road to a victory which guaranteed their Barclays Premier League status, and Tuncay Sanli wrapped up the points eight minutes after the break.Milan Baros had earlier passed up an opportunity to put the visitors ahead, but the Teessiders were good value for the points.
