Players who may miss the cut for the squad will most likely leave the club

Manchester City have already recruited four new players in the shape of David Silva, Jerome Boateng, Aleksander Kolarov and Yaya Toure and are expected to complete the signings of Inter Milan striker Mario Balotelli and Aston Villa winger James Milner in a few days time. But with new Premier League regulations only allowing clubs to submit a 25-man squad, players who may miss the cut for the squad will most likely leave the club to pursue first team football elsewhere. One of these men who could be left out of selection is Wayne Bridge, due to the signing of Kolarov and the young promising left back Greg Cunningham doing such a good job of sneaking his way into the first team. Could this signal an end for the former Chelsea full back's City career or will his vast experience at a high level sneak him into that all important squad list?Another player linked to be on his way out of Eastlands is fans’ favourite Craig Bellamy, this is believed to be because of the expected signing of Balotelli and all of the loanees from last season returning; Jo, Robinho and Felipe Caicedo. Tottenham Hotspur manager Harry Redknapp has admitted he is interested in purchasing Bellamy but is unsure as to whether the Blues would be willing to sell the Welsh international or not..Also Stephen Ireland may be set to leave the Citizens as many rumours are linking him with possibly being a part of the deal with the Milner to Manchester City transfer. Ireland did not take part in City's pre-season friendly with Valencia on Saturday night, suggesting he may very well have been at Villa.Disclaimer: The views in this article are that of the writer and may not replicate those of the Professional Footballers' Association.
