Wolves have made their first major signing of the summer and have acquired the services of George Olofinjana Seyi, the 24-year-old Nigerian international who has been plying his trade in Norway with Bran. A fee of £1.7million was enough to attract him to Molineux where givemefootball's Lawrie Madden was on hand to hear from the newest recruit to the English game.

Q:HOW DID THE MOVE COME ABOUT?

A:I knew Wolves were interested some time ago and when they made an offer I spoke to several people and they told me all about the club. I know it is a club with history and tradition but in the end, although I had advice from others, I made up my own mind.

Q:WHAT ARE YOUR IMMEDIATE AMBITIONS?

A:My aim is to help Wolves get back in the Premiership and, God willing, we can do that first time. I will be doing my best to be part of the team that does that.

Q:WHAT OTHER CLUBS WERE INTERESTED IN YOU?

A:There was a lot of interest from abroad as well as from England. Monaco and Auxerre were interested and so were Crystal Palace and Everton, but I spoke to the manager at Wolves, Dave Jones, and I was impressed with him and decided that I wanted to come here.

Q:WILL IT BE DIFFICULT TO ADAPT TO THE ENGLISH GAME?

A:I don't think so. The style of play in Norway is very similar to England. I think that there is a bit more quality in England but I feel that Norway and their style of play will help me to adjust to the demands of the English game.

Q:WHAT QUALITIES WILL YOU BRING TO THE WOLVES SIDE?

A:I work hard, which you have to do but especially in central midfield. I think I am a good footballing type of player and I also know that I have to defend and win the ball back for the team. I also try and score goals as well.

Q:WHAT ABOUT THE PROSPECT OF PLAYING ALONGSIDE PAUL INCE?

A:I have heard so much about him and he is a great player. I am looking forward to playing with him and very happy about it.

Q:ARE YOU IN GOOD SHAPE, FITNESS WISE?

A:Well, I have already done pre-season training in Norway so I am fit. The manager has given me ten days off and I am going to Greece for a holiday and then I come back ready to start.

Q:IS THIS A JOURNEY INTO THE UNKNOWN FOR YOU?

A:I don't know much about English football but I have watched it every weekend while I have been in Norway so I know about the teams and the players, the grounds and the fans. It is one of the reasons why I wanted to come to England. It's a great place to play and I am very excited about the future.
