England striker Michael Owen has vowed to banish his Northern Ireland nightmare by helping to steer his country to next summer´s World Cup finals with victories over Austria and Poland. The 25-year-old Newcastle marksman was part of the side which slumped to ignominious defeat in Belfast on Wednesday night to spark a major debate over the future of national coach Sven-Goran Eriksson."It is often the biggest test of a squad when you the chips are down and you have got to stick together," he said. "Hopefully we get a chance to put it right in the next two qualifying games we have. It is still in our hands to go and win the group and if we win the group, hopefully that will make up for last night."
