We run through who has made the most appearances in the Givemefootball.com team of the Week as a guide for where to place your vote. (bold stats for Premier League only)


Shay Given: 1 appearance 1 Sub
Has put in some sparking performances for Manchester City, pulling off numerous acrobatic saves. Arguably the best keeper in the league, Given has been in fine form for both Manchester City and the Republic of Ireland. 3 clean sheets


Glen Johnson
: 2 appearances 1 Sub
Settled in to life at Anfield extremely well and has contributed with both goals and assists for Liverpool and England. 2 clean sheets, 2 goals, 3 assists.


Kolo Toure: 1 appearance 1 Sub
New signing for Manchester City from Arsenal, the Ivorian has been dominant and solid in defence and has contributed to Manchester City’s decent defensive record. 3 clean sheets


Richard Dunne: 3 appearances
Surplus to requirements at Eastlands, Man City’s loss is Aston Villa’s gain. Since arriving Villa have tightened up at the back in no small part to Dunne’s form. Like Given has been in good form for the Republic of Ireland. 4 clean sheets


Ashley Cole: 4 appearances
Is arguably in the form of his life under Carlo Ancelotti. Has begun to add goals to his already impressive array of talents. Contributes as much in defence as he does in attack. 3 clean sheets, 2 goals


Aaron Lennon: 2 appearances
Is reveling in life under Harry Redknapp and has begun to show his potential this season. Has made the right wing position his own at Tottenham Hotspur. Has also been in fine form at International level. 2 goals, 2 assists


Frank Lampard: 3 appearances
Frank has continued his unrivalled consistency so far in 2009-2010 season. Rarely a game goes by where Lampard doesn’t have an impact for both Chelsea and England. 1 goal, 4 assists


Gareth Barry: 2 appearances 1 sub
The midfielder has proved his class, standing out in a star studded Manchester City side. Holds the midfield together for club and country and for everything good about Man City, Barry is involved. 1 goal, 1 assist


Ryan Giggs: 2 appearances
Hadn’t started much in August, but since coming into the team for Manchester United, his contribution has been vital. A superb free-kick against Spurs and assisting 3 goals in the Manchester derby highlight how good Giggs still is. 1 goal, 4 assists


Wayne Rooney: 2 appearances
Has spectacularly embraced the attacking responsibility heaped on his shoulders since the departure of Cristiano Ronaldo. 6 goals in 6 games for Manchester United so far and is pivotal to Fabio Capello’s England. 6 goals


Fernando Torres: 2 appearances
It has been suggested Torres isn’t firing on all cylinders which should be a concern for Premier League defenders when he actually is. His contribution was crucial in two very tough away wins against Bolton and West Ham. 5 goals, 1 assist


Subs:

Joe Hart: 1 appearance
Has started his loan spell at Birmingham City with some fantastic performances. 3 clean sheets

Emmanuel Eboue: 1 appearance 1 sub
Looks a different player this season from the one that was vilified by the Emirates crowd. 1 clean sheet 2 assists

Thomas Vermaelen: 1 appearance
Looks like he’s played for Arsenal for years. Is joint top scorer for his club and has put in some fine defensive performances 1 clean sheet, 3 goals, 1 assist

Darren Fletcher: 2 appearances
The Scot has contributed priceless goals and plays a crucial role in United’s midfield. 2 goals, 1 assist

Steven Gerrard: 1 appearance 1 sub
The Liverpool captain has been in good form for both club and country and his versatility has proved invaluable. 2 goals, 4 assists

Didier Drogba: 1 apperance 1 sub
The Ivorian has started the season with a bang, and has struck up a fantastic partnership with Nicolas Anelka that has seen Chelsea maintain their 100% start. 5 goals, 4 assists

Emmanuel Adebayor: 1 apperance 1 sub
Up until his 3 match suspension, Adebyor has scored in every game for City since his £25 million move, often priceless goals. 4 goals
