Chelsea defender Alex is interesting big-spending French side Paris St Germain, according to general manager Leonardo.

Stamford Bridge boss Andre Villas-Boas has confirmed that Alex is free to leave the Blues and there were rumours of a bid from QPR.

There has been no official confirmation of a bid from their west London rivals, but Chelsea may now have a buyer from the nouveau-riche Ligue 1 club.

“Kaka? Nothing.Leandro Damiao? He does not move during this window,” said Leonardo in an interview with French newspaper L’Equipe.

“Thiago Motta and Alex? For both, there is a possibility. But for now, nothing is done.”

The 29-year-old has not featured in a Villas-Boas side since late November and it was reported he was nearing an exit from the club.

The Blues chief revealed late last year that the Stamford Bridge club had accepted a transfer request from the Brazilian.

Alex was then told to train away from the first team squad until a move away from Chelsea could be arranged.

The left-footed centre-half arrived in London in 2007 from Dutch side PSV Eindhoven, who had owned his contract jointly with Chelsea in an unusual deal with Brazilian club Santos.

If he were to move to PSG, he would join up with former Chelsea boss Carlo Ancelotti, under whom Alex had his best spell.
