Harry Redknapp has rebuffed claims that he is after the signatures of Man City duo Craig Bellamy and Shaun Wright-Phillips.
City are thought to be prepared to offload the pair as they look to strengthen their squad with more high-profile signings. Yaya Toure and David Silva have already been recruited in multi-million pound deals, and yet more fresh blood could signal the departure of Bellamy and Wright-Phillips - who are in danger of falling further down the pecking order at Eastlands.
However, Tottenham - thought to be the frontrunners to snap up Bellamy - have ruled themselves out of signing the Welshman; as well admitting they have no interest in England winger Wright-Phillips.
Spurs boss Harry Redknapp told Soccernet: "Why would I be going for Shaun when I have Aaron Lennon?"
Redknapp had tried to sign Bellamy when the 31-year-old was at West Ham, but he was beaten to the transfer by City. And a repeat bid for the temperamental striker seems highly unlikely.
"City bought him for £12 million and the player must be on considerably high wages. I just don't see it happening," Redknapp added.
