Barry Robson is determined to resurrect his Scotland career after making his first Clydesdale Bank Premier League start since February.
Robson started Celtic's goalless draw against Motherwell on Saturday after finally overcoming groin problems. The 30-year-old had become a key player for his country and he is eager to make his return when Scotland face Wales in a Cardiff friendly on November 14.
"That's something that is very much on my mind, to get back involved with Scotland and try and help Scotland progress," Robson said.
"I've missed going away with them, I enjoy going on the trips and playing teams away in Europe.
"It's something I'm really striving for, I'm hoping I can get back in the Celtic team and push to get in the squad for the Wales game.
"But I need to make sure I'm playing here first and foremost and that isn't easy to do."
Robson is keen to play a full part in Scotland's Euro 2012 campaign from beginning to end.
"I'll only be 31 when it starts so I think I can bring decent experience," he said. "That's what I'll be hoping to do anyway. But I need to make sure first and foremost that I'm playing for Celtic and the club are winning matches and that's my main aim."
