Routledge makes Villa switch

By PA Sport  January 30, 2008
Tottenham midfielder Wayne Routledge has completed his move to Aston Villa for an undisclosed fee believed to be worth £1.5million.

The 23-year-old this afternoon underwent a medical with the midlands club and signed an 18-month contract to end an unproductive spell at White Hart Lane.

The former England Under-21 international is likely to be Villa boss Martin O´Neill´s first signing with MLS goalkeeper Brad Guzan poised to be the next to arrive at Villa Park with a move from Chivas for £2million - subject to obtaining a work permit.
