Luiz Felipe Scolari has tried to clarify his relationship with Football Association powerbroker David Dein.Arsenal vice-chairman Dein has become one of the key figures in the selection of the next England manager. He has championed the appointment of current Portugal manager Scolari, who won the World Cup with his native Brazil in 2002. Dein appears to have campaigned well because the Brazilian is suddenly one of the two favourites to succeed Sven-Goran Eriksson.Scolari said: "He´s my friend only. When he needed something for Arsenal he asked me one year ago but after this, no. He´s my friend only. I wish him all the best - for him and Arsenal - but that´s all it is."
