Sevilla have entered the race to sign Arsenal target Blaise Matuidi, according to report in France.
The Arsenal manager is said to have been following the Saint Etienne midfielder closely and could follow up his interest with a £6 million bid in the summer.
The Gunners boss is believed to have held talks with the 22-year-old over a possible move to the Emirates in the near future.
However, Seville are also monitoring the situation and have reportedly sent scouts to watch Matuidi’s teammate Mouhamadou Dabo as they ponder a move for the midfielder.
Matuidi has been one of the star performers at the heart of the Saint Etienne midfield this season and it is thought that only a significant bid would be enough to secure the player’s services.
Matuidi has so far made 24 appearances for France U21’s but is hoping recent performances may earn him a call-up to the senior French squad.
