UEFA Cup winners Sevilla claim they have turned down a new offer from Liverpool for defender Daniel Alves.

According to Sevilla president Jose Maria del Nido, Liverpool had an offer rejected but came back with a fresh proposal which was also dismissed. The 23-year-old Brazilian right-back has spent four years with the Spanish club who are reluctant to let Alves leave.

"We are already talking big money but Sevilla don´t want to lose the player," said Del Nido.
