Seething Alan Shearer left Blundell Park with three stitches in a lip wound and the goal which sent Newcastle through to round four of the Carling Cup.Shearer blasted Grimsby defender Justin Whittle, whose blatant elbow in an aerial challenge just past the half hour almost prompted the Magpies skipper to lose his cool. But he responded in the way he knows best with a superb 80th-minute finish to end the brave League Two side´s resistance.Shearer said: "It would have been easy for me to go out there and stick one on him because that is what I wanted to do. He has done me, it was blatant. The referee was five yards away and he did nothing."
