Samuel Galindo is close to joining Everton and is due to arrive in Merseyside on Saturday to finalise a transfer.
Despite not being well know in England David Moyes’s scouts have been closely watching the Real America midfielder who has impressed in recent performances for Bolivia's Under-20 national team.
Galindo will cost Everton in the region of £750,000 as Moyes continues to operate with a small financial budget.
Samuel Galindo said: "I have all my paperwork in order to travel to England.
"First, I will undergo the medical examination and then proceed to the contract signing so I'm travelling with my dad."
The 17-year-old has been linked with Wigan in the past but Moyes appears to have won the race to sign him.
"I hope not to waste this opportunity to prove to everyone that there are good players in Bolivia," he added.
