Newcastle defender Steven Taylor cannot wait for the season to start after earning his new deal.The 22-year-old signed a three-year contract on Friday to finally end more than a year of speculation over his future, and immediately set his sights on building upon the platform established by manager Kevin Keegan last season."The club is moving forward - it shows in the form guide at the end of last season," Taylor said: "At the end of the season, we were performing fantastically. The competition for places is second to none now. Everyone is fighting for that shirt for the new season and these are exciting times."
