Chelsea manager Avram Grant revealed captain John Terry was inconsolable after missing the penalty that would have won the Blues the Champions League. The skipper stepped up to take Chelsea´s fifth penalty with the shoot-out deadlocked at 4-4 but slipped as he made contact with the ball and hit the post. Edwin van der Sar then went on to save a penalty from Nicolas Anelka to give United the victory and the trophy."Terry was very sad and he cried, but he is the main reason we are here," said Grant. "He was there whenever we needed him and he took the responsibility today with the last penalty. He was fantastic."
