Manchester City captain Kolo Toure steered the club into the fourth round of the Carling Cup by scoring the winner in extra-time to beat Fulham 2-1 at Eastlands.
Toure got on the end of a corner from substitute Martin Petrov to head home in the 111th minute.
It was his first goal since his arrival this summer from Arsenal and a welcome one at that after Gareth Barry had cancelled the opener from Fulham's Zoltan Gera.
