Chelsea, Manchester City and Manchester United are battling for Fiorentina starlet Stevan Jovetic, according to The Daily Star. It's understood that the Premier League trio sent scouts to watch the Serie 'A' youngster during the Viola's weekend win over Udinese.
However, a stumbling block in the deal could be Jovetic's buy-out clause, which is estimated at a massive £40million.Reports suggest he's more likely to be available for a more reasonable £30 million, leading the chasing pack to potentially make a bid.
Jovetic said: “I am content in Italy but I’m always looking out to improve myself. I have been looking out for a chance to play in the Premier League and I am prepared for that challenge.”City would reportedly be open to a player-plus-cash deal for Jovetic, involving Emmanuel Adebayor, who is yet to complete his move to Tottenham Hotspur, or Roque Santa Cruz, who is currently on loan at Real Betis in Spain.
