Real Madrid are the latest club to be linked with Everton midfielder Jack Rodwell.
The 19-year-old has become an integral part of the Toffees midfield this season, and has received rave reviews for his versatile performances in the current campaign.
Manchester United have previously been linked with the player on a number of occasions, and Chelsea were reported to be monitoring his progress as recently as the summer.
However, reports in The People now place Real Madrid in the race for Rodwell, with the Bernabeu club reportedly considering a £15 million move.
With the Merseyside club struggling for funds and contemplating a stadium move, such an offer might be too good to refuse. Whether Rodwell wants to leave his homeland for Spain is another issue, with the England Under-21 international establishing himself as one of the top young players in the Premier League. An outside chance for a place in the 2010 World Cup squad, Rodwell will look to continue his good form in the New Year and beyond. If he does, a handful of clubs could become involved in a summer bidding war.
