Manchester United have reportedly joined Arsenal and Spurs in the race for Turkish defender Cetin Servet after the player's agent admitted that Old Trafford could be an ideal destination.
The Galatasaray defender has been linked with both North London clubs in recent months, but now Mithat Halis has admitted that United and Liverpool are also interested in the no-nonsense centre back.
Nicknamed the terminator, Servet has earned close to 50 international caps for his country since making his debut in 2003. He has also played for a handful of clubs in his homeland, including Fenerbache.
The 28-year-old is now ready to make the move into top level european football, and Cadena SER is Spain also link Barcelona with the defender. The player himself admitted on Turkish TV that he would be prepared to leave Istanbul if the move was financially beneficial to Gala.
"If my club Galatasaray is going to gain from my transfer - I am ready to go," Servet told Lig TV.
Speaking to Sport.co.uk, agent Mithat Halis confirmed the statement and spoke of interest around europe.
"I think that both clubs (Arsenal and Spurs) have sent scouts to watch the player, as have a large number of top European clubs.
"I am not 100% if he will leave yet but he is a candidate. I think Tottenham have problems in that area, as do Arsenal and Manchester United. Cetin is a good candidate for these clubs.
“I think an offer of £10 million is enough."LIVERPOOL vs ARSENAL: Fancy a FREE £25 BET on the game? Place it here with BetFair: BET HERE
