Manchester United have signed another Belgian youngster with Marnick Vermijl signing at Old Trafford.
The 18-year-old defender is yet to make his first team debut with Standard Liege, but Manchester United scouts have seen enough of the player to intice Sir Alex Ferguson into a move.
A versatile defender who is at his best in the right back position, Vermijl will join up with his new United teammates in the summer with an eye for being available at the start of the 2010/11 season.
United have Gary Neville, Wes Brown, John O'Shea and Rafael Da Silva all vying for the full back position, and it's unlikely that Vermijl will feature for the senior side in his first full season at Old Trafford.
Undoubdetly signed for his potential, the defender joins Richie De Laet as the second Belgian teenager drafted in by Ferguson.United are yet to officially release information about the deal, but various sources in Vermijl's homeland have confirmed that the transfer deal is done.
