Bayern Munich have beaten Manchester United and Liverpool to the signature of Swiss sensation Xherdan Shaqiri, it has been claimed.
The 20-year-old winger is regarded as one of the finest young talents in Europe, and has frequently been linked with a move away from current employers Basel.
Galatasaray had attempted to sign Shaqiri during January, but were unable to agree terms for his signature with Basel and now, it would appear, Bayern have made a move of their own.
According to talkSPORT, Bayern have already agreed a fee for Shaqiri, despite interest in the Switzerland international from Manchester United and Liverpool.
A fee of £10 million is said to have been enough to capture Shaqiri, who will reportedly move to the Allianz Arena at the end of the season.
Shaqiri impressed Sir Alex Ferguson during this season's Champions League, as Basel dumped the Red Devils out of the competition.
United must now compete in the Europa League, and start their campaign against Dutch giants Ajax later this month.
