Henrik Larsson will return to Helsingborg as planned next week even though Manchester United might be facing a striker shortage.

Wayne Rooney is set to have a scan on the knee he injured at Liverpool on Saturday, while Ole Gunnar Solskjaer is already out for a month after knee surgery. But, even if the 21-year-old is sidelined, there is no chance of Larsson prolonging his stay in England.

According to Helsingborg coach Stuart Baxter there has been no approach from Old Trafford to try and extend Larsson´s loan deal. He told Radio Manchester: "There has not been a first approach from United (to extend the deal) let alone a new one."
