Manchester United boss Sir Alex Ferguson is being linked with a move for Paraguayan teenager Juan Iturbe.

The 16-year-old striker plays club football for Cerro Porteno in his homeland, and The People reports that Manchester United lead a host of clubs in a building race for the young talent.

A versatile youngster who can also play in the left wing position, Ferguson has reportedly been made aware of Iturbe after he broke into the Paraguay U20 side.

He has also become a regular for his club despite being of such a young age, and Real Madrid and Roma are believed to be interested in a summer move.

Premier League side Tottenham Hotspur are also thought to have monitored Iturbe, who has built a reputation as one of the rising stars in South American football.Sir Alex Ferguson could be interested in a move that sees Iturbe loaned back to Azulgrana, but a move looks almost certain for this precocious talent as the cream of Europe take interest in the forward.
