Manchester United have admitted interest in Wolfsburg's 23-year-old striker, Edin Dzeko.
United's assistant manager Mike Phelan has stated the Bosnian born striker is a player that appeals to them. Phelan was reported saying there could be a possible offer in January for the striker.
"He showed his threat in the game at Old Trafford and he appeals because he is a tall, skilful boy and in some ways he is an ideal player for the English league.
"He has stature, his feet are good and he is producing some good performances. I am sure everybody has looked at him."
Manchester United are not the only big club looking at him, AC Milan reportedly came close to signing the Wolfsburg forward in the summer. Arsenal also showed some interest but the German club managed to keep hold of the talented striker.
The Bosnia international had an impressive time at Wolfsburg, scoring 49 goals last season which helped the German club win their first ever Bundesliga title.
Dzeko has admitted he is willing to leave the club to further his career, which has alerted United to make an offer in January.
