West Brom newcomer Scott Carson believes Martin O´Neill´s desire to sign a more experienced goalkeeper scuppered his chances of a permanent move to Aston Villa.Carson spent last season on loan from Liverpool at Villa, who had first option to sign the 22-year-old during the summer but O´Neill has instead turned his attention to 37-year-old Blackburn keeper Brad Friedel.Carson said: "Villa had an option to buy me but Martin O´Neill said he was a bit unsure, that he wanted to look for a more experienced keeper."
