Arsenal winger Theo Walcott has admitted dreaming of 2010 World Cup glory with England. The 20-year-old has had a frustrating few months, missing the start of the season through injury, but he’s moving closer to full fitness and is expected to return for the Gunners in October.Although England didn’t miss the precocious talent of Walcott in their recent World Cup qualifiers, the former Southampton youngster is seen as one of the hottest talents in Fabio Capello’s possession. That was proved with his breath-taking hat-trick in Croatia earlier in the World Cup qualifying campaign, and Walcott, who was taken to the 2006 World Cup by Sven Goran-Eriksson, has already set his sights on glory in the 2010 South Africa campaign.“There’s a lot more for me to achieve with Arsenal, and Engalnd,” Walcott told the October edition of Observer Sport Monthly.“When I was 10, I predicted that England would win the World Cup. I don’t think I was clever enough to write down the year, but it would be a dream come true if it was 2010, and I was part of it.”Walcott also spoke of the influence David Beckham has had on him during his time in the England squad, and how the LA Galaxy superstar has helped him when involved in the international squad.“Even now, with England, it can still be a bit daunting. I always sit next to David Beckham when we eat. David always looks after me; he’s a really nice guy.” Powered by: GiveMeFootball.com, the latest football news
