Liverpool are due to complete a deal for Wrexham goalkeeper Danny Ward for around £100,000, according to the Daily Post.

The 18-year-old is yet to make a professional appearance for Wrexham, and is currently third choice behind Joslain Mayebi and Chris Maxwell.

Neither club have confirmed the deal, but the move is expected to include a number of add ons, including additional payments to the Conference side if and when the Wales under-19 international makes his debut at Anfield.

Ward made his senior debut last season for Tamworth while on loan, winning the man-of-the-match award for his performance against Hayes & Yeading.

The teen underwent a medical at Liverpool Melwood training complex over the weekend, and reportedly came through with flying colours.

The Reds recruited Alexander Doni from Roma in the summer, but has yet to feature for the club, with Pepe Reina having been an ever present in Kenny Dalglish's side this term.
