Hull hero Dean Windass has admitted he would consider a move to Leeds should he fail to break back into the first team.

Veteran striker Windass earned his place in club folklore with the goal that secured promotion to the top flight last season but he has since found opportunities limited.

"I want to make it clear that my priority is still to get back in the Hull team, but if Phil Brown tells me I can go, Leeds would definitely be a club I'd consider joining." Windass wrote in his blog on itv.com.

He added: "Bradford also made an enquiry about me last week, but I think they couldn't afford to pay Hull's wages.

"So I'm still here and still battling for my place which is what I've always said I will do until told otherwise."

Windass scored against Leeds in a friendly played behind closed doors on Monday and took the chance to speak to United boss Gary McAllister.
